Jagdeo foundation to be ready in February

AFTER serving Guyana as executive president for 13 years, Dr Bharrat Jagdeo is soon to return to serving his nation in a different capacity.
The Jagdeo Foundation is all set to commence its work in February of this year. This is according to former President Bharrat Jagdeo, in a telephone interview with this publication yesterday morning. Dr. Jagdeo is the founder of the organization.
He said there was a slight delay in the completion of renovations on the building which will house the foundation.
He explained that he is not prepared to give any interviews just yet, but assured that any questions and information about the foundation will be made public when it is officially launched.
Yesterday, when the Guyana Chronicle visited the location on New Garden Street, Queenstown, workers were busy getting the job done.
It was observed that preparations were being made to lay the foundation of what is supposed to be a concrete-base fence, while others were restoring antique windows.
After he demitted office in 2011, Jagdeo announced that he was going to relax before the getting into any other activities. In 2012, Jagdeo announced he will be launching a foundation.
