THE charred remains of 65-year-old Denis Marks, a father of three, was removed from the charred remains of his home which was destroyed by fire last evening.

The house, at 12 Cummings Street, North Middle Walk, Buxton was burnt flat to the ground.
The man lived with a female companion. His daughter Sabrina Joyce said that she was at home when she got the message that her father’s house was on fire.
The Fire Service responded promptly and the man’s remains were taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlor. A postmortem is expected to be performed on the remains tomorrow.
