Women Reaching Out touches hearts of staff, inmates of the Palms

WOMEN Reaching Out, a non-profit organisation, recently spread some Christmas cheer at the Palms on Brickdam by taking lunches and presents to Wards Two (2) and Five (5) of the institution.
The group also provided some musical renditions to the very receptive s
eniors;

aaltnd from all accounts, everything was well received by inmates and nursing staff as well.
Numbering approximately fourteen (14) active members, the organisation turned out with much enthusiasm and goodwill, and was happily received by all at the Palms.
Members of the group also observed several areas in which they can provide further help, including the washroom facilities, and the group intends to actively pursue more projects at the institution in the New Year.
Last October, the organisation held its first public activity, “An Evening Around the World”, which showcased food, drink and talent from around the world; and this turned out to be a surprising success. As a result, they hope to make this an annual event.
WRO thanks all those corporate and private citizens and well-wishers who supported them throughout 2012, and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous 2013.
