A BRAZLIAN man was fined a total of $75,000 with the alternative of three months imprisonment yesterday, for conspiracy and uttering a forged Guyana employment visa.
Jose Silva, 52, of Lot 81 Robb Street, Georgetown, pleaded guilty to the charges before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
Particulars of the offences said, on December 18, with intent to defraud, the defendant uttered, to a Police officer, a Brazilian passport and conspired with other persons unknown to insert a false Guyana employment visa, purporting that it was issued by the Central Immigration Office.
