THE letter written in the Guyana Chronicle by Swami Aksharananda captioned: “We are all wired with an inherent ‘extinguisher’ mechanism” dated December 17-2012 is a must-read for all.
It is not only sad to read what a religious man such as Moen ul Hack wrote, but most frightening too, to say “Modest dress would protect a woman from rape:” (Stabroek News dated December 04 2012).
I would advise Swami Aksharananda, and I personally would be part of this, if asked to, that the next time a woman is raped in Guyana, to take Moen ul Hack’s letter and go shove it in his face.
No-one that he preaches to will ever have the guts to stand up to him and say you are wrong in your writings and in your thinking.
He has too many people in his circle that he preaches to, but no one has the courage to stand up to him.
One of my brothers, who attends Moen ul Hack’s preachings, said it is sick if Moen ul Hack did in fact say it and he will look it up and, if true, he is ‘out of there’.
Immediately after reading Swami Aksharananda’s letter it brought back memories to me where a dad would always take his daughter to school.
Then one day, just one day, her dad had some business to take care of so he could not drop his daughter to school.
She was found dead after being brutally raped by junkies.
Personally, I would ask Moen ul Hack, “was it what she wore that caused her to be brutally raped,” or was it her school uniform?
I am sorry for sounding this angry, but what makes me so angry is that no one could ever stand up to religious bigotry when leaders do and say wrong things.
I know for sure my brother and my nephew will not attend any longer the lectures by this person.
