FENTON Jarvis, 27, of Lot 3029 North Ruimveldt, Georgetown was remanded to prison yesterday, on drugs trafficking charges. He appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on December 4, he trafficked in 38 grammes of cocaine and 75 grammes of cannabis (marijuana).
Police Corporal Seon Blackman, prosecuting, said, acting on information, ranks went to the defendant’s home and conducted a search which yielded the narcotics among his personal belongings.
No special reason was advanced for bail and the magistrate granted the request for it to be refused.
The defendant will be back in court on January 7, 2013.
