After six hour surgery… Venezuelan Government reports President Chavez in stable condition

THE Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has said medical reports indicate that President Hugo Chavez is in a stable condition, after undergoing a surgical operation that lasted six hours on Tuesday, December 11. A Venezuelan Government release, issued on Wednesday, said: “After the complex and delicate operation, the patient is going through an also complex post-operative recovery process. We trust the physical and spiritual strength of Commander Hugo Chavez and the medical treatment.”
It added that the Bolivarian Government invites the Venezuelan people and other fraternal peoples to be with President Chavez in this new testing time with their prayers and solidarity, which sure make him stronger every day.
The release said President Chavez is accompanied by his closest relatives, who thank the countless expressions of solidarity and affection that have been shown from all around the world, especially from Venezuelans in every corner of the country.
