Rodrigues & Osborne

Following the brutal murders of person of interest, Ricardo Rodrigues and his body guard, Marlon “Trini” Osborne the police said that there has been nothing further in the matter but the investigations are still open. Previously, four persons, who were detained for questioning in Osborne’s homicide, were all released after a habeas corpus was filed in the High Court by Chief Justice Ian Chang for the men’s release just a few hours after they were held by the police.
One of the four men was held immediately after the homicide while three others were picked up a day after the killing.
Marlon Osborne called ‘Trini”, 33, of 1732 Achievement Place, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown was gunned down at about 14:00 hours on October 31 at Laluni Street, Queenstown.
Investigations revealed that Marlon Osborne was driving motor car PNN 9922 when shots were discharged from another vehicle which drove away. He received injuries and was taken to the GPHC, where he subsequently succumbed.
Osborne, who was sprayed with bullets from a high-powered rifle succumbed to multiple injuries while, on his way to surgery at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Osborne was riddled with bullets when a hooded (masked) man, who was in another car pulled up, leaned out the window and opened fire at a grey Premio PNN 9922 at about 13:30 hours.
At the scene, yesterday, shortly after the gunfire ended more than a handful (about 39) spend shells believed to be fired from an M-70 or AK-47 rifle was scattered on the roadway.
Eyewitness told the Guyana Chronicle that PNN 9922 was about to turn out from a bridge of a residence when a car drove up, blocked its path and sprayed his motorcar with bullets from a high powered rifle.

Meanwhile, Ricardo Rodrigues, who was gunned down execution-style on October 15 at GMR&SC ‘Pit Stop’ restaurant and bar at Thomas Lands, Georgetown.
He was sitting at a table at about 15:00 hours when gunmen sprayed him with bullets and he received injuries to the head, chest, hands and leg inflicted by a high-powered weapon. From all indications he died instantly.
Three other persons, who were at the club at the time, were injured as the gunmen sprayed bullets indiscriminately.
