A NIGERIAN was yesterday fined $30,000 with the alternative of three months imprisonment for entering Guyana illegally. Barnard Chikumka appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and pleaded guilty to having entered the country on November 25, at Springlands, Corentyne, Berbice, by sea and failed to present himself to an immigration officer.
