Burglary defendant on $100,000 bail

TERRY Clement, 22, of Lot 7 Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge, Georgetown, appeared before Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, on Thursday, charged with burglary.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on November 11, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Bryan Clarke and stole one Guyana Passport property of the State.
Police Corporal Seon Blackman, prosecuting, informed the court that the defendant and virtual complainant are known to each other and the latter had secured his home and gone out.
But, upon his return, he discovered his house was ransacked and his passport was missing.
The defendant was granted $100,000 bail until November 30.
