POLICE took a man into custody at about 11:20 hrs on November 13 after ranks of the Narcotics Branch at Ogle Airport, East Coast Demerara stopped and searched the man, who was booked on a flight to Imbaimadai, Mazaruni, and seized one kilogrammne 200 grammes of cannabis sativa (marijuana) found hidden in the inner soles of three pairs of boots.

Charges will be made shortly, the Police said.
In a separate incident,
police reported that at about 23:00 hrs on Sunday, ranks on a mobile patrol in Albouystown,  Georgetown, stopped and searched a man and found 31 grammes of marijuana in his possession.
He will also be charged shortly.
