DENNIS Grant (no address given), who admitted entering Guyana illegally and not presenting himself to an immigration officer, pleaded guilty when he appeared in court yesterday, charged with illegal entry.

He committed the offence last August 25 at Springlands, Corentyne, Berbice and told the court he is a Guyanese by birth and came to Guyana with his Dutch papers only.
The defendant claimed he lost all his Guyana documents while he was living in Suriname.
Magistrate Leron Daley fined him $30,000 with the alternative of six months imprisonment.
