Female murder accused on marijuana charge

TWENTY ONE-year old Tiffany Clarke who has been committed to stand trial for the murder of her alleged lesbian lover, Sonobia James, appeared at the New Amsterdam Court on a charge of being in possession of a narcotic.

Dressed in prisons apparel, the unrepresented woman, pleaded not guilty to a charge of having one gramme of marijuana in her possession whilst being an inmate at the New Amsterdam Prison on October 21 last.
In the New Amsterdam Court, where she appeared, Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo, denied her pre trial liberty and ordered that she return to court on March 4, 2013, for trial.
Meanwhile, Clarke is accused of killing James after a heated argument ended in a blood bath. James was stabbed in late April at the popular strip joint “Red Dragon Club.”
James received a single stab wound to the neck following a disagreement over another female. She was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation but succumbed to her injuries minutes after arriving there.
