No crusher run stone shortage -BK International

BK International has denied that there is a shortage of crusher run stone in the country, according to a release from the local construction company
“BK International has seen a report in the Kaieteur News today (2nd November) attributing a statement to the Permanent Secretary from the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development,

Mr. Colin Croal, complaining of a shortage of crusher run stone in the country affecting the construction of community road projects by a number of Neighbourhood Democratic Councils which is not accurate.”
“BK International wishes to confirm that there is no shortage of stone of any kind in Guyana and that BK Quarries is in a position to provide any quantity of stone required for construction.”
“BK International wishes, however, to point out that it is not prepared to extend credit to contractors who are either unable to pay on time or are in the habit of making payments  over extended periods or, in a number of cases, not at all.”
“BK International has recently completely refurbished its quarry plant increasing its capacity from 350,000 – 550,000 tons per year. BK Quarries can currently provide 25,000 tons of crusher run stone and 10,000 tons of other aggregate per month.”
