Scotiabank/Pepsi Female All Stars resume training tomorrow

THE SCOTIABANK/Pepsi Female All Stars Team will recommence training tomorrow at the Georgetown Football Club Ground from 09:00hrs under the watchful eyes of coach Joseph ‘Bill’ Wilson and assistant coach Andrea Fredericks.

altThe All Stars Team is the brainchild of Guyana Sports Development Foundation which is headed by Colin Baker and has the support of Demerara Distillers Limited through their Pepsi brand of drinks, Scotiabank and the Guyana Football Federation (GFF).
The Coordinator of the local programme is Lawrence Griffith while the Technical Director is Stanley Harmon and the team will be engaged in a tournament scheduled to be played next month hence the reason for the recommencement of the training.
At this proposed tournament it is expected that scouts will be on hand to select and identify possible players who will go on to represent Guyana in the CFU U-17 and U-20 Tournaments scheduled for 2013.
Since the commencement of the training in July, the team held two practice games against a GFC U-15 Boys Team and a West Demerara Female team.
The team reads: Keisha Gordon, Jennell Browne, Althea Holligan, Gabriella English, Mariska Corbin, Alliyah Stanley, Cindy McPherson, Tamika Prescod, Shuanna Taylor, Dacia Brandt, Tasnica Lovell, Treola Elliot, Troyann Barton, Deborah Waldron, Dacaycia Norville, Natifa Marville, Alicia Simpson, Tallibah Taylor and Shani McClintock.
They hail from Georgetown Schools: Dolphin Secondary, North Ruimveldt Multilateral, Tutorial High, East Ruimveldt, Tucville, Campbellville and North Georgetown.
