THE Guyana Legion will be promoting its annual Remembrance Quiz, which is sponsored by Digicel, beginning on Monday, October 29 and continuing through to the finals on Thursday, November 8. President of the Legion, Colonel (ret’d) Carl Morgan made the announcement, last Tuesday, at the launch of the Poppy Appeal, in the Legion Headquarters, Coghlan House, on Carifesta Avenue, Thomas Lands, Georgetown.
The competition will involve eight secondary schools and would be conducted on a knock-out basis.
The questionnaires will be selected from topics surrounding World Wars One and Two, as well as present day Guyana and Caribbean military units.
Prizes will be presented to the winners and runners-up at the Legion’s Remembrance Day reception which is scheduled for Sunday, November 11, at Coghlan House.
