Teenager remanded on cocaine possession charge

CHIEF Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry remanded Phillip Knights to prison yesterday, on a narcotic possession charge. The 18-year-old defendant, of Lot 167 Hunter Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on October 23, he had three grammes of cocaine.
Police Sergeant Winneth Hubbard, prosecuting, said ranks were conducting a raid and went into an Albouystown yard where the defendant was found with the substance in a container.
He has to be back in court on November 1.
