FOOTBALL action continues tonight at the Georgetown Football Club ground when the Karibee Rice Knockout Football Tournament comes to a close with what is expected to be an intriguing double-header from 18:00hrs. The curtain-raiser of the night which is the third place showdown will see Pele go head-to-head with Monedderlust then the night wraps up with the final between BK International Western Tigers and Rosignol United at 20:00hrs.
In the Berbice clash on Friday, Rosignol United defeated Monedderlust 1-0 at the Blairmont Community Centre ground in the other semi- final to advance to the final.
Western Tigers won the other semi-final against Pele last week Sunday with the same score.
The two finalists are expected to be using this match to gauge their performance level since they are both in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super League which gets under way on October 28.
