A model teacher has passed on

MY brother–in–law, Khaman Gopal Persaud, of Goed Fortuin Housing Scheme recently died and was cremated.

I recall years ago, Mr. Steve Narine presented an article on him in one of our dailies.
Khaman moved around then on a scooter and later travelled using a wheelchair.
Khaman Gopal Persaud, known as Vishnu, could not walk and use one of his hands, yet he served as a Nursery School teacher for around 35 years.
It is not for me to write about his performance as a teacher. I can, however, express my thanks to the Office of the Ministry of Education, Region 3, for having an education official speaking of his qualities and contributions at his funeral service.
As I return to the classroom in a few weeks from now, I am taking with me memories of Vishnu, rich memories, in relation to his personality and his dedication to teaching.
He has been a model to me as a dedicated teacher.

I do miss him so much!
