DYNA’S Ravens secured the title of the Pepsi Refresh Your Game Basketball Champions on Sunday night when they defeated Colts in the final of the Pepsi Sonics Club-organised event at the Burnham Basketball Court.

Ravens prevailed 79-73 over Colts in what seemed an evenly contested showdown and walked away with G$100 000 while the runners-up team had to settle for $50 000.
The victorious Ravens team, led by Ryan Stephney who top-scored with 19 points, received support from Ryan Gullen and Jermaine Slater who scored 14 and 13 points respectively.
Even though Sheldon Thomas contributed 18 points alongside Shelroy Thomas and Dave Causway who both scored 17 points, it all came down to the team that made the least mistakes to lift the title.
In the third division category, Pacesetters scored a convincing 65-50 victory, over Colours Panthers to take the title.
It was a collaborative effort for the victory with points falling at every position on the Pacesetters’ offence. Joslyn Crawford top-scored with 18 points and received support from Shawn Gullis and Dwight Grey who finished with ten points each.
The Panthers’ Haslyn Hooper (12 points) was their top scorer while Morris Archer and Jonathan Puran scored ten points apiece.
Meanwhile, in the Exhibition match that was played, Pepsi Sonics Juniors defeated Bobby Juniors.
