Intellectual authors of Lusignan massacre still promoting death and division

PRESIDENT Donald Ramotar was among the large gathering assembled at the Gopal Mandir on the East Coast of Demerara last Friday evening to pay homage to the memory of the 11 persons from five families in the community who were brutally murdered during the brutal massacre of 2008.

As the President was moved to observe at the Pitri Paksh function, a period set aside to honour the dead: “The best homage we can pay to their memories is to ensure that this never happens again.
“And the best way to do that is for us to speak out; make our voices heard, and reject division.
Let everyone know that we disapprove of this kind of behaviour.”
President Ramotar said that, while the event that occurred at Lusignan five years ago is one too significant to ever forget, one must not overlook the fact that many of the architects are still around.
“…more important are the intellectual authors of what occurred here; and many of them are still around. They have their own diabolical thinking of how to achieve their ends. We have seen that playing out time and time again; it is something we have to fight until it is completely defeated,”

Herein lies the problem, Mr. President.

You said it best when you say many of the architects and intellectual authors are still around.
Most Guyanese know your government disapproves of this kind of behaviour, but what most Guyanese want to know is why the architects and intellectual authors are still around?
As long as these architects and intellectual authors are still around, the Lusignan massacre is bound to happen again, perhaps in another predominantly Indian village.
Mr.President it happened in Wismar and some of those architects and intellectual authors are still around.
Mr.President, the only way this can be defeated is when the architects and intellectual authors would be sitting it out in a jail for the rest of their lives. This brings us to Agricola:
Dr. Ramsammy, who noted that although the leaders of those parties might have mobilized some citizens from Agricola, some of the persons who were rampaging on the East Bank were mobilized from other communities. This brings us to the AFC.
The present AFC leader is too insignificant to mobilize such mass protest, but those misguided protestors will listen to Nigel Hughes and not Ramjattan. This brings us to the PNC.
The protesters will hear but ignore the voice of Roopnarine, knowing full well it is Granger who has their backs.
I wrote before but cannot recall if it was posted that Nigel Hughes will be a thorn in the side of PPP/C.
From the day he tampered with a murder investigation at a Buxton gas station by removing a surveillance tape,
Nigel Hughes proved that he is much bigger than the laws of Guyana.
Guyanese are now witness to Nigel Hughes giving ultimatums to government on which minister to remove from government.
Stay tuned, there is much more to come.
