POLICE Constable Orin Heyligar was yesterday charged with rape, allegedly committed on a woman at the Enmore Police Outpost.

According to a statement yesterday from the Guyana Police Force, the alleged rape incident took place on July 01, 2012, while the victim was in police custody at the time.
Heyligar appeared before Magistrate Zarina Ali at the Cove and John Magistrate Court and was placed on $500,000 bail.
