SIXTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD Tim Eversley (no address given) was fined $30,000 with the alternative of two weeks imprisonment, yesterday, for unlawfully and maliciously wounding Keith Lynch on September 27.
He pleaded guilty to the offence before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, who, at his request, gave him 14 days to pay the fine.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, said the defendant is renting an apartment from the virtual complainant and the two of them had an argument over the rent.
The prosecutor said Eversley wounded Lynch, who told the court he is afraid of the defendant who threatened, many times, to kill him and burn the house.
Lynch was advised to make another report against the defendant and evict him from the premises.
