FORMER Survival Supermarket employee Savitrie Ramnauth, 18, of Lot 3, Triumph, ECD, appeared yesterday before Georgetown Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton charged with larceny by clerk or servant. She is alleged to have stolen $198,342 from the Survival Supermarket on May 22.
Represented by Attorney-at- Law Paul Fung-a-Fat, Ramnauth was not required to plead to the indictable charge of larceny by clerk or servant. Her attorney entered a successful application for bail which was granted in the sum of $85,000.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for October 3, for report and fixture.
