A MAN is in custody after police, during a stop and search exercise, found components of an unlicensed shotgun and seven 12 gauge cartridges at Burma Road, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara. Police said at about 16:00hrs on Monday, police ranks stopped and searched a man at Burma Road, during which components of a shotgun and 12 gauge cartridges were found in a bag.
The man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, three men are in custody after police unearthed 76 grams of cannabis sativa (marijuana) in the vehicle they were travelling in on Monday, at One-Mile Road, Bartica.
Three men have been arrested and are in police custody. Charges will be made shortly.
