Former GGMC Commissioner on a vendetta

AS a miner I continually pay keen attention to any news regarding the mining sector, and recently I noticed the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) portraying a retired Commissioner of the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) as a so-called messiah, who seems to have all the answers relating to mining. Based on feedback I have been receiving from his presentations, I gather he cannot provide a sense of direction for the mining sector, which justifies his lack of leadership while he was at the GGMC. His inept leadership was recognised by the Hon. Prime Minister and this resulted in his removal as Commissioner from the GGMC.
Hence, he has been agitating to settle his personal vendetta against the government and the GGMC sacrificing the GGDMA as the scapegoat to get his scores settled under the pretext of promoting mining.  He has no credibility, because under his short-lived so-called leadership the mining sector suffered tremendously, particularly small miners as a result of his mismanagement of the Commission.
In addition, several allegations of corruption were levelled against this individual during his tenure as Commissioner acting at the GGMC.
I therefore suggest that he should provide a response to those unanswered allegations that are still in circulation within the mining sector, rather than engage in endorsing himself as a credible and self-righteous individual promoting mining under false pretence.
Those who know him are aware of his unforgettable mark of mismanagement of the mining sector. I have always known him for this attitude which I now mention. Now that strides are being made in the sector, he is making a concerted effort to cast aspersions on the sector’s positive development. I therefore urge the GGDMA to reconsider their association with this gentleman and seek to have meaningful discussions and interaction with all stakeholders on the future of the mining sector.
