Final PYARG 2012 expedition heads for Kaieteur Falls

THE President Youth Award Republic of Guyana (PYARG) programme will see some 80 participants, 12 Unit Leaders and four staff members this Sunday begin the final expedition for the 2012 programme to the majestic Kaieteur Falls where an exciting experience will be unfolded to the participants. The expedition which will start in Georgetown by bus to Mahdia where they will overnight before journeying to Pamela Landing for another night where they will prepare to commence journey by boat to Amutuk Falls.
The expedition is expected to form 10 smaller groups which will then journey to Waratuk Falls then to Tuakyte the foot of Kaieteur Falls. Under guidance and security from the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) from Georgetown where at Pamela Landing they will be join be the tour guides onwards to the end of the expedition.
On arrival at the first official stop in Mahdia, the expedition will be met by former award participantunit leader now Regional Chairman of Region 8, Mr. Ronald Harasawack who has committed support resources to the expedition. The expedition will see participants from regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 10.
