22-YEAR-old Junior Ramroop of Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, driver of the ill-fated car that crashed into a minibus carrying some 14 passengers on the Lima Public Road at around Sunday midday, is on life supporting machine in the Intensive Car Unit of the Suddie Hospital. Ramroop’s face is disfigured and he has also received serious injuries to his abdomen and stomach.
The car he was driving at the time of the horrific accident is damaged beyond repair; and the owner of the mangled minibus, another Charity resident, is similarly fighting for his life in the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Allan Gildery, his wife Clair Benjamin, and their two-year-old son – residents of Charity Housing Scheme – are also battling for their lives in the Georgetown Public Hospital, as are several other children.
So far, Reena Rajkumar, a mother of three, has died whilst receiving medial attention at the Suddie Hospital on Sunday.
