Local Gov’t Ministry hands over two market tarmacs in Region Three

DURING the course of this month the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, in conjunction with the Regional Administrations will formally hand over 11 market tarmacs that were constructed by the ministry at a total of cost of just over $230M in Regions 2, 3, 4 and 5 with the aim of realising orderly and disciplined vending. Minister within the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, Norman Whittaker on Friday formally handed over two of these tarmacs, in Region Three to the respective Neighbourhood Democratic Councils;  Pouderoyen tarmac, West Bank  Demerara to the Best Klein- Pouderoyen NDC, and the Patentia market tarmac to the Toevulgt/Patentia NDC.
