JACQUELINE Porter of 544 West Ruimveldt, Georgetown appeared before acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine Beharry yesterday charged with obtaining by fraud. It is alleged that, between September 2011 and July 2012, the woman fraudulently obtained from Ilene Croft the sum of $959,000 by falsely pretending to heal sickness by spiritual means.
Porter pleaded not guilty to the charge, and was granted bail $125,000 bail. She will next appear in court on August 22.
