ESSEQUIBO police are investigating the tragic death of a 45-year-old man which appears to be suicide. Pradeep Singh, an employee of the Suddie Funeral Parlour was found hanging from a piece of rope on Tuesday in the parlour.
Singh, a father of four who lived with his family at Onderneeming Sand Pit, apparently was suffering from domestic problems and unconfirmed reports said he was abusive to his wife and even tried to kill her before he left for work Tuesday morning.
Only recently, another man of Annandale Essequibo Coast hanged himself because of domestic problems.
At Riverstown Village, another man also murdered his wife in a trench then hanged himself on a jamoon tree nearby, all because of domestic problems.
The suicide rate on the Essequibo Coast is climbing and domestic problems are the main cause of it. Residents are calling for help to combat the problem.
