BRIAN Hackett, former president of the Lusignan Golf Club emerged winner of the Trophy Stall-sponsored tournament  at the Lusignan course yesterday. Some nineteen golfers competed for honours but Hackett emerged winner with a  gross 91, net 65 with a handicap of 26. In second pace was Troy Cadogan with gross 93, net. 65 with a handicap of 28, while L. Ramsundar copped the third prize with gross 77, net 66 and a handicap of 11.
Nasir ‘Mighty Roger’ Khan won the nearest to the pin prize.
Club captain Rawle Moore in his short address thanked the club members for responding to play under soggy conditions. The presentations were made by club executive David Mohammed on behalf of the sponsors.
