THE Guyana Darts Association (GDA) will this Sunday (Caricom Day), host a three in one darts tournament at Safari Inn, Friendship East Bank Demerara, from 14:00hrs.
The games to be played are Draw and Open Doubles knockout which are both sponsored by Safari Inn and the Water Store sponsored the Open Singles competition. Both doubles game will have cash prizes while the singles competition will have cash prizes and trophies up for grabs.
Meanwhile, results from last Friday’s tournament which was played at the Malteenoes Sports Club showed former national champion Sudesh Fitzgerald coming out on top in the Open Singles competition, with Norman Madhoo, Sherwyn Greene and Vibert Yearwood finishing second, third and fourth respectively.
Greene also won the 180 points prize, by throwing it twice against Bryan James and Yearwood.
In the Draw Doubles, the pair of Yearwood and Greene won by a 3-2 margin over Madhoo and Christopher Ramnauth.
In the semifinals, Grantley Culbard and Fitzgerald lost 2-0 to Yearwood and Greene, while Anthony Bissondyal and Nicholas Seetaram went under to Madhoo and Ramnauth by the same margin.
