Holder’s hat-trick blanks Brickdam Secondary
AKEEM Holder struck a hat-trick for Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC), who defeated Brickdam Secondary 6-0 at the Police Sports Club, Eve Leary ground, when action in the second annual Digicel-sponsored, nationwide Inter-Secondary School football competition continued yesterday. Holder found the back of the net in the 19th 34th and 43rd minutes and, along with Kwesi Downer’s double scored in the 74th and 75th minutes of play and Hilary Henderson’s 72nd goal, steered his team into the next round of the tournament.
Also recording victories were: Business School who defeated Queen’s College 2-1, with Dequan James and Allister Peters finding the back of the net for the victorious team in the 60th and 65th minutes, after Queen’s Stephan Rutherford had given his team the lead in the 54th minute of play.
Berbice Educational Institute (BEI) defeated Skeldon High on penalty kicks, following a 1-1 scoreline at the end of regulation time.
