AN IMPORTANT meeting that will examine the state of table tennis in the mining town of Linden has been called by table tennis players to be held at the Linmine Constabulary Recreational Hall from 17:30hrs. This meeting is aimed at looking at the state of the game’s administration in the mining town and hopefully efforts will be made to address these concerns of the players, who called the meeting, having recognised the need for the resuscitation of the sport, administratively.
Some of the players said they have heard nothing of the Linden Table Tennis Committee which was tasked with this responsibility for the sport in Linden, and the players also hope that persons interested in being a part of the administration, will attend and also offer to be a part of the solution in the planning of the game in the future.
Linden has qualified players who have become accredited ITTF coaches, among them are Raynor ‘Copter’ Anderson, Marlon Washington and Howard James.
