FROM time immemorial, people have made mistakes and in this imperfect world people will continue to make mistakes. The last recruitment as Town Clerk was a mistake and we would like to hold that those instrumental in her promotion were sincere and had the best intention for the city.
One writer once said “it is nothing against you falling down but to lie down is a disgrace.”  So for those that were instrumental in her promotion, there is nothing to be ashamed of, in fact, the Town Clerk has betrayed the trust of competence reposed in her.
So now they can pick up themselves and move on, and that is to fill the void with competence, commitment and honesty.
I can see such a person at City hall and even though she was overlooked the last time for the position as Town Clerk, that wrong could be amended this time around. Her name is Carol Sobers. Ms Carol Sobers is Legal Officer and she served the council with distinction. Ms. Carol Sobers has a legal mind and she would be completing her LLB this academic year.
