–driver in police custody
A VEHICLE driver is in police custody assisting with investigations into a fatal accident which occurred at 48 Miles, Mabura Trail, Upper Demerara on Sunday. Police report that, at about 14:00hrs on Sunday last, Eon Clarke, 47, of Dahlia Street, Wismar was sitting on the top of the cab of a motor lorry that was travelling along the 48 Miles Mabura Trail, Upper Demerara, when he fell off and was injured.
He was taken to the Mackenzie Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
