Some booty found at burglary defendants’ homes

TWENTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD Paul Lashley, of Lot 290 Thomas Street, South Cummingsburg and John Campayne, 21, (no address given) appeared in court yesterday, on a joint break and enter and larceny charge. Both of them pleaded not guilty, before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, to the offence, particulars of which said, between June 10 and 11, on Camp Street, also in Georgetown, they broke and entered the storage bond of Industrial Services Supply and stole cash and merchandise, to the total of $2M, property of Hemant Narine.
Police Sergeant Sheriff, prosecuting, said the owner secured his premises and departed but, on his return the following day, he discovered the burglary.
The prosecutor said police went to the defendants’ homes and arrested them after money and a laptop computer were found there.
The defendants were each granted $250,000 bail until June 26.
