TWENTY-SIX-YEAR-OLD Donald Kamatchu (no address given) faced a charge of assault with intention to rob yesterday. He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, charged, indictably, with having, last May 14, in Light Street, Georgetown, assaulted Jonathan Paul with intent to rob him of personal assets.
Police Prosecutor, Corporal Simone Payne said the virtual complainant was walking when the accused, accompanied by another went up to him and the former dealt him several blows about his body and demanded that he hand over his money.
