GUYANA is set to observe its 46th anniversary as an independent nation and, as customary, Cabinet ministers and officials will fan-out to communities within the 10 Administrative Regions. Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon, during a post-Cabinet briefing yesterday, at Office of the President, reminded of the official hoisting of the Golden Arrowhead at 12:00 midnight, followed by the Head of State’s address to the Nation at the National Park on May 25.
At the independence anniversary celebration, Guyanese are reminded of the struggles endured to gain political independence from Great Britain on May 26, 1966.
