ANDREW Bailey (no address given) was ordered to post $450,000 bail yesterday, when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on a simple larceny charge. He was charged, indictably, with having on May 14, stolen raw gold valued $1.7M, property of Carlton Powers.
The accused has to be back in court on May 28.
In the same court, another man facing a similar charge, Kenrick Benjamin alias ‘Funky Dread’ was allowed pre-trial freedom on $45,000 surety.
The indictable charge against him said, on May 15, he stole a camera worth $45,000 and $35,000 cash, from Sarah Manniram.
Benjamin, too, has to be back in court on May 28.
