THE Bharrat Jagdeo libel action against Frederick Kissoon and others at Kaieteur News will continue on June 8. On that date, Jason Abdulla will be further cross-examined by Mr. Nigel Hughes, who is representing the defendants including Editor Adam Harris and the newspaper company.
The former President is seeking in excess of $10M for libel allegedly contained in an article, captioned ‘King Kong sent his goons to disrupt the conference’, written by Kissoon and published in Kaieteur News June 28, 2010.
Senior Counsel, Bernard De Santos is appearing for the plaintiff Jagdeo, while Hughes is associated with Mr. Christopher Ram.
