MY very first visit to GT&T”S 2012 10/10 finals was indeed a rewarding experience and it was a joy to witness an event well supported from all ethnic groups of Guyana. Hits:
Powerful prize giveaways, no pelting of glass bottles because beverages were served in sanitary cups at the bars, well behaved crowd etc.
Misses:
Disappointed that my ticket and from observation, other patrons’ tickets were collected and not torn in half. A lot came to mind immediately and hope GT&T can give an explanation for such a decision.
I didn’t notice any security/police personnel standing just above patrons in the stands and that should be considered priority. There were so many kids playing and running around and I was so scared and I didn’t want to witness anyone slipping and going over.
Thank heavens they were smart kids..Adults need to take some extra precautions in allowing kids to play and run at the top floor of the stands when attending any events at the stadium.
Switches:
My least expectation was to witness Adrian Dutchin and Jomo switching over to GT&T from Digicel and performing live..I always felt that they were going to stay with Digicel. I guess it’s all about the revenue.
Digicel you have now got some serious competition ahead of you..I would publicly suggest that you consider contracting Machel Montano for Mash 2013 as a back up to whichever local artiste you may have in mind to endorse..Having MM on your team will be the force to reckon with and you will have the city locked down for that event in 2013. That again depends on your participation.
For the record, I am still a subscriber to both you and GT&T, but the edge you have over the Blue Company is your free weekends (6 to 6) offer which is a total knockout. It’s a breath of fresh air to awake on Saturdays and Sundays and not worrying about replenishing my Digicel account until 6pm.
