Chronicle editorial long overdue

IT is always good to see that the Chronicle address issues constructively facing the nation. The recent editorial on GUYSUCO was long overdue. The comments raised by the Chronicle, wondering when the decision was made to introduce the Bell loaders, whether consideration was not given to the issue of whether they could be operable in wet conditions; these questions apply not only to this issue but others as well.
The Chronicle should pursue their suggestions of having the terrain suitability be redesigned and a strategy to meet as much of the target as possible.

One wonders who was involved in making the decision on the Bell loaders, what other decisions are they still making? The reported modifications to the packaging plant and the Skeldon factory raise similar questions on decision-making. The Chronicle should point out that the union and management must act constructively together or the industry will certainly die.  Bailouts cannot continue forever without best efforts by those bailed out. They must find better ways, than strikes, absenteeism and stoppages or they will lose more than a few days pay.
