Bahamas PM to ‘hit the ground running’

NEW Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Gladstone Christie has promised to hit the ground running, following his swearing in by Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes Tuesday evening. He has appointed his Cabinet Secretary and promised to have his full Cabinet by tomorrow.
The PM’s party, the Progressive Liberal Party, won a landslide victory at the elections, gaining some 27 seats out of  37, and looks set to take three more as a recount is going on.
Present at the swearing in was Manzoor Nadir, who was part of the CARICOM Observer Mission to the  elections.
