A HAT-TRICK of goals from ace forward Shawn ‘Berbician’ Daniels and a supporting goal from Jolyn Lewis enabled the Mackeson Masters Squad to blank Linden’s Top Klass Masters Club 4-0 in a practice match at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground on Monday night. After the just concluded successful Mackeson Masters Football tournament, a select squad has been called to training to represent the Georgetown Masters Football Association at the upcoming 16th Annual Barbados International Masters Football Festival in Barbados from May 25 to 28 of this year.
The team will continue training session this evening at the Georgetown Football Club ground and will be engaged in a fundraiser this weekend to offset expenses for their upcoming tour to the Land of the Flying Fish.
The weekend game saw the inclusion of Marlon Cox and Noel Sargeant from Top Klass, along with former national players, goalkeeper Phillip Carrington, brothers Adrian and Sherwin Forde, Eon Farley, Monty Fordyce and Brian Simpson from Berbice, while the squad is expected to tour Bartica this Saturday.
