Mahaica Children’s Home, Guyana Karate College get COURTS donations

COURTS (Guyana) Incorporated made presentations, at its Main Street, Georgetown store yesterday, to the Mahaica Children’s Home and Guyana Karate College.
The latter received a Whirlpool stainless steel microwave oven for the Dojo Training Room at its new location, Liliendal, East Coast Demerara.
The Mahaica hospice was the recipient of a three-piece living room suite.
Public Relations Officer of the college, Mr. Wayne Orderson expressed thanks, to the donor, for the donation.
Meanwhile, Administrator of the Mahaica Home, Ms. Dawn Hunte declared she was overwhelmed upon receipt of the gift to her institution.
Also present when representatives of both beneficiaries offered their most sincere gratitude for the kind contributions, were General Manager of COURTS, Ms. Pamela Humphrey; the company’s Director of Credit, Mr. Kenneth Scrubb and Public Relations Officer, Mr. Kester Abrams.
Abrams said COURTS is always proud and honoured to play an active role in the development of youths and their future, as it fulfils its corporate responsibility by standing true to its mission of ‘Bringing Value Home.’
He said the company tries its best to assist the less fortunate citizens of Guyana to uplift their living standards.
Abrams remarked that, over the years, partnerships between COURTS and both the beneficiary institutions have been very healthy and growing, with sustained and timely donations toward several initiatives that are beneficial to communities and their members.
