THE Alliance for Change (AFC) has expressed disenchantment with APNU because it feels that the party did not vote in Parliament for the slashing of contract jobs. The AFC is also accusing APNU of being in agreement with the hiking of electricity tariffs to Lindeners.
Khemraj Ramjattan of all people must know that Lindeners are as special to Guyana as all Guyanese are. Ramjattan should know that there are many PNC supporters in his AFC party who couldn’t care less about what he says or does since they wanted to kick him out of the leadership role prior to the last election.
Ramjattan does not understand that he is of no use to the PNC people masquerading as AFC simply because Ramjattan does not garner any votes for them to wallop the PPP on Election Day.
In the 2006 elections, it was Raphael Trotman that gained the votes his party received and not Ramjattan. Ramjattan will soon find himself between a rock and a very hard place after this national budget is passed with the very PNC people he claimed to be champion of.
As I have said before and will always say, those in the PNC and their supporters will only love the likes of the Ramjattans, the Kissoons, the Roops, the Ramsaroops, the Khemrajs, the Sasenarine Singhs and the Sharmas once they could all cry and holler their guts out how blacks are being marginalised, disenfranchised and discriminated against by the PPP/C government who does not provide jobs for blacks.
The PNC and their supporters can no longer make these cries since Ramjattan wants to cut their bread and butter from their mouths.
The world is now seeing all the names mentioned above are not champions of the black cause but they are all political gluts who would say and do anything for power.
Not one of them will be ever honest with themselves and try to fight for all Guyanese regardless of race, colour, creed and religion because there are no political mileage in that for them.
If Lindeners are allowed to pay five dollars per kwh then all Guyanese must enjoy the same rate.
Like how a 16 percent VAT is there for all to pay it must be same for water and electricity.
Those in authority must go after the business people who rip off the tax system.
Those in authority must muster the guts and fortitude without fear or favour and go after those who steal electricity.
How many more must die through electrocutions while trying to steal a bit of electricity to ease the high cost they are charged for it?
I have seen it firsthand what my family has to endure to keep electricity costs down and it’s painful to watch them living under one light bulb at a time with no pressing clothes and no heating up food in microwaves and no washing machine and limited TV and living in the dark at nights without a single light in our yard.
Go to Linden and in some other areas where mostly PNC supporters are and you will see electricity galore including running of air-condition units.
Ramjattan and all those I mentioned will never want to talk about this because there are no political miles in things like this for them, but yet they will tell you how the blacks are being shut out by the PPP/C government.
You fight for one, you fight for all. If not, get the hell out and let others do an honest job for all the people of Guyana.
Fighting for all the people
