Bandaged, limping dangerous driving defendant granted bail

KALICHARAN Dusrat, with bandages about his body and limping, appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore, at Sparendaam Court last Friday, charged with dangerous driving. Particulars of the offence said, on April 9, at Mon Repos, the defendant drove his vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public and, as a result, it collided with another.
Dusrat pleaded not guilty and was put on $10,000 bail, pending his next appearance on May 9.
He was one of three defendants who faced a similar charge that day.
One of the others, Laurie Jonas was allowed self-bail.
It was alleged that, on April 17, at Industry, on the East Coast of Demerara, he also drove dangerously, causing a collision with another vehicle.
The man pleaded not guilty and was told to be back in court on May 11.
The third defendant, Linden Munroe (no address given either) faced a charge that said, on April 9, at Mon Repos, his driving, in a manner dangerous to the public, resulted in his colliding with another vehicle.
He pleaded not guilty and was put on $10,000 bail until May 9.
