SHONETTE Freeman of Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara was alleged to have unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Sheliza La Claude on April 1 at Sophia, Greater Georgetown, and was placed before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore on Tuesday last, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. Freeman was placed on bail in the sum of $10,000.
She asked for time to seek legal advice from an attorney, as both women declined the magistrate’s invitation to settle the matter between themselves.
The matter will be called again on April 17.
